On October 16, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) held a live site meeting on promoting quality of counties in form of National Farmer Professional Cooperatives.
At the meeting, MARA signed the Framework Agreement on Promoting the Quality Improvement of Farmers Professional Cooperatives with Sinochem Group, COFCO Group and China Post Group Corporation.
According to the agreement, Sinochem Agriculture will serve as a nationwide comprehensive service provider for the quality improvement of Farmers Cooperatives, accelerate implementation of online and offline MAP model, provide a full range, from-seed-to-sales integrated solutions and services, guide the Farmers Cooperatives to produce quality agricultural products, increase farmers’ income, and facilitate industrial upgrading. COFCO will provide grain sales logistics services and China Post Group Corporation will accommodate comprehensive financial services. In the years ahead, MARA will guide all parties to give full play to their advantages in talents, technology, market, capital and management as contributing efforts to the development of modern agriculture. Priority will fall on improving the quality of the Farmers Cooperatives development, structuring a social professional service in support of a benign mechanism for the organization’s development.
