On May 15, Mr. Frank Ning, met with Ms. Teresa Cristina, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, and Mr. Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita, Ambassador of Brazil to China, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on Brazilian agricultural production modes, agrochemical market channel transformation, agrochemical technology development, local policies, etc. and explored broader cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Mr. Frank Ning noted that China and Brazil have a lot to offer each other in agricultural sector. Affiliated agrochemical companies of Sinochem and ChemChina value Brazilian market and will cooperate on the entire industrial chain of agriculture to jointly provide healthy food products for consumers around the world.
Ms. Teresa Cristina expressed her gratitude to the Chinese enterprises represented by Sinochem and ChemChina for supporting the development of Brazil’s agriculture. She stressed that China-Brazil cooperation has a long history. In recent years, the cooperation between two sides in import and export has been on continuous rise and is expected to continue such momentum.
Representatives from 13 associations and organizations including Brazilian Agricultural Cooperatives, Cotton Growers Association, Soybean Producers Association, the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA), and the Brazilian Farmers Association are engaged in the talk. Mr. Qin Hengde, President of Sinochem Agriculture Holdings; heads of ChemChina and representatives of Sinochem’s subsidiary in Brazil attended the meeting.
