ADAMA opened the world’s first herbicide plant for oil dispersion (OD) in Londrina, Brazil, with a production capacity of 8 million liters annually.

The factory, dedicated to the production of herbicides using TOV Technology and formulation OD, has started manufacturing the first TOV herbicide Cheval®. This innovative formulation, coupled with the exclusive combination of active ingredients, has demonstrated high efficiency in the management of weeds in the main producing regions, raising the level of control for the growers.

With a total investment of US$2 million, the new plant has a production capacity of 8 million liters/year and will also be used for the production of another three TOV herbicides in the next five years. The plant consumes 25% less energy and generates 50% less water and waste than other factories. The factory is equipped with gas and particulate filtration systems to ensure compliance with all the standards established by environmental authorities and avoid atmospheric pollution.
