Sinochem Agriculture Modern Agricultural Service (MAP) released the Green and High-Quality Development Report 2023 on May 22. According to the report, the Agricultural Green and High-quality Development Index score of farmers getting MAP services was 19.18 percent higher than farmers who didn't have MAP services.

The report, certified independently by the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, highlights the focus on green and high-quality development in agriculture. It outlines the actions and achievements of MAP in implementing resource conservation, promoting green and low-carbon agriculture, and improving overall quality and efficiency.

Compared to those published in previous years, the report has made significant breakthroughs in survey scope, surveyed crops, and data representativeness.

MAP conducted online and offline surveys on the production of 12 crops, including the three main grain crops and common cash crops, in 23 provinces. These crops include rice, corn, wheat, soybeans, apples, citrus fruits, cotton, and forage. The surveys covered nearly 1.8 million mu (120,000 hectares) of cultivated land.

MAP has been releasing the Green and High-Quality Development Report annually since 2020. The Index comprises four indicators- resource conservation, environmental friendliness, industry efficiency, and green supply, as well as 12 secondary indicators such as fertilizer utilization efficiency, which will provide effective data support and decision-making basis for the green and high-quality development of agriculture.
