MycoMan, a mycotoxin risk management platform independently developed by Adisseo, was officially launched on June 23. Adisseo will partner with Syngenta to strengthen the industry chain's mycotoxin management capabilities, providing solutions for managing mycotoxins on the entire value chain, from fields to feed, using this platform.

MycoMan provides a range of services, including mycotoxin risk assessment, interventions, tailored recommendations, and a map displaying mycotoxin prevalence data on a global scale. Syngenta will utilize its Qualimetre® prediction model, which was developed by using field sample analysis in Europe, to provide initial mycotoxin contamination analysis for customers, including farmers and feed manufacturers. This analysis will be used alongside MycoMan to ensure feed quality, animal health, and food safety.

The issue of mycotoxins is not merely a safety and quality concern but also has substantial economic and environmental impacts. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has estimated that 25 percent of the world’s crops are affected by mycotoxins each year, with annual losses of around one billion metric tons of food and food products. This underscores the urgent need for proactive mycotoxin management measures.
